TURKEY HUNTS
Gould’s Turkey Hunts in Mexico
Go after the GOAT (Greatest Of All Turkeys) in the high country of Durango.
The Gould’s is the largest of the wild turkeys, a prized trophy and one of the tougher birds to check off a turkey slam. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ll handle the lodging, meals, drinks, gear and logistics. For turkeys we bring down the Mike & Mike show- two turkey hunting legends to help you get your shot.

Season: April and May
Trip: Normal trips run Wednesday - Sunday
Price: $2,800 per person
Airport: Durango
Ammo: Included
Trip style: Private group, request based booking
The Hunt
Turkey hunts take place on private leased land around 8,000 feet, with access to more than 70,000 acres and no public hunting pressure.
We hunt Gould’s turkeys much the same way you would in the United States. Mornings start early, the country is bigger, and the day is built around getting hunters into the right position before the birds start moving.
Paul is on the ground for these hunts, along with Mike and Mike, turkey guides brought in for the season. Your SOBs and guides know the country, work the birds, and keep the hunt focused without turning the trip into a production.
The package includes one Gould’s turkey. Additional birds may be discussed based on tag availability, location, and the hunt setup, option to add javelina as well.
If you come all this way for the GOAT, of course you’re going to want to bring him home. Raw birds can’t cross the border, but we can connect you with trusted local taxidermy services to prepare your Gould’s turkey and send it home.

A DAY IN THE FIELD
01
Land in Durango

Fly into Durango and meet your SOBs after arrival. They will get your group loaded up and headed toward the turkey country.
03
Early Coffee and the Plan

Turkey mornings start before daylight. Coffee comes first, then the plan for where your group is headed and how the morning will set up.
05
Midday Reset

Depending on the morning, your group may head back to the cabins for lunch and a break, or stay flexible around what the birds are doing. The plan follows the hunt, not the clock.
07
Dinner at the Cabins

After the hunt, head back for a home cooked dinner, drinks, and a little downtime before the next early morning.
02
Get to the Cabins

The ride gives your group a chance to get out of airport mode and into hunt mode. Once you arrive, settle into the cabins, get your gear sorted, and get ready for an early start.
04
Daylight Hunt

Your guides get hunters into position early and work the morning around where birds have been seen, heard, and patterned. The ground is private, the pressure is low, and the goal is to give each hunter a clean shot at a good opportunity.
06
Afternoon HUNT

The afternoon gives your group another window to move, listen, and work birds based on the day’s conditions. Your guides adjust the setup around what is happening on the ground.

01
Private Leased Ground
Gould's turkey hunts take place on private leased land with no public hunting pressure. Your group is not sharing the area with other hunting parties.
02
Paul Is on the Ground
Paul is involved in the turkey hunts directly. Guests are dealing with the person who booked the trip, not being handed off to a name they have never met.
03
Mike and Mike Guide the Hunt
Mike and Mike bring serious turkey hunting experience to the season. They help read the birds, work the country, and put hunters in good situations.
04
All Inclusive
The turkey package includes one Gould’s turkey, plus lodging, meals, drinks, guns, ammo, licenses, tags, transfers, guides, and tips.
